The iconic Barbour motorcycle jacket, the International, was created in 1936 and became the jacket of choice for motorcyclists throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Staying true to that tradition, the International Original is made from heavyweight 8oz Sylkoil waxed cotton, offering a sophisticated matte finish and road-ready protection. Its robust front zip sits beneath a front flap with snap-button fastening, while the high collar is lined with corduroy for added thermal insulation and a luxurious feel against the skin. The lightweight cotton lining features Barbour's signature tartan and has snap buttons for attaching the optional Warm Pile liner, adding greater versatility. Traditional motorcycle jacket details include a buckle throat strap, adjustable snap-button cuffs, a rigid belt and the signature four snap-button pockets, one of which is the authentic slanted map pocket, designed for easy access while riding.
